Concept:

Adverbs of frequency are words used to express how often an action occurs over time. They indicate whether an action is done regularly or not. Adverbs of frequency help provide information about the repetition of activities or events in our daily lives.

Usage:

Adverbs of frequency are placed in different positions within a sentence, typically before the main verb in an affirmative sentence. These adverbs allow us to answer questions like "How often?" or "How many times?" and are essential for discussing routines and eating habits. Here are some common adverbs of frequency:

Always.

 Usually.

Often.

  Sometimes.

 Rarely.

 Hardly ever.

 Never.

 

 

 

Examples:

1. Daily Routines:

 I always wake up at 7:00 AM. (Siempre me despierto a las 7:00 AM).

She usually goes for a jog in the morning. (Ella generalmente sale a correr por la mañana).

We sometimes have lunch together. (A veces almorzamos juntos).

2. Eating Habits:

He often eats fast food for dinner.

 They rarely drink soda.

 I never eat spicy food.

  She always arrives on time for work.

I always take a walk in the evening.

 

2. Usually.

We usually have dinner around 7 PM.

They usually go to the gym after work.

 3. Often.

He often visits his grandparents on weekends.

They often eat out at restaurants.

Sometimes I forget my keys at home.

           She sometimes watches movies late at night.

5. Rarely.

He rarely misses a day of work.

 We rarely see snow in this region.

6. Hardly Ever.

 She hardly ever goes shopping.

They hardly ever travel abroad.

  I never eat seafood because I'm allergic.

They never leave home without their phones.

 Example: How often do you visit your grandmother? (Answer: I visit her once a week).

What time? This question is used to find out the specific time at which an action or event occurs or will occur. It is answered by providing the exact time.

 Example: What time does the movie start tonight? (Answer: It starts at 8:00 PM).

      Answer: I go to the gym three times a week.

2. What time do you leave home in the morning?

Answer: I leave home at 7:30 AM.

 3. How often do you study for exams?

Answer: I always study before exams.

 4. What time does your work meeting start?

Answer: The meeting starts at 9:00 AM.

 5. How often do you run in the park?

 Answer: I run in the park almost every day.

Answer: The store closes at 8:00 PM.
